Former WVLT-TV journalist Sara Shookman will be Cleveland NBC affiliate WKYC’s newest reporter, jumping 43 spots in the process.
In fact, her first day was today, according to her Twitter account.
Shookman started at the Knoxville, Tenn., CBS affiliate in 2009. She’s worked mornings, nightside and as a bureau chief during her tenure.
The biographical section of Shookman’s portfolio page states she’s a Buckeye at heart, having grown up and gone to college in Ohio.
The Cleveland-Akron market sits at 18th, whereas Knoxville ranks 61st, according to the latest figures from Nielsen.
