Nexstar Posts First Quarter Gains Of Almost 20 Percent

Nexstar Broadcasting, which operates or owns 55 television stations across the U.S., has announced a 19.6 percent increase in net revenue for the first quarter of 2012 versus last year.

Two of those stations Nexstar owns are in the South TV News viewing area: KARK in Little Rock, Ark., and KTAL in Shreveport, La.

LIN TV Corp., a subsidiary of LIN Media, reports its first quarter revenues increased 15 percent to $103.2 million in 2012, whereas in 2011 that same figure was $89.7 million.

Parent Company of Ft. Myers Station Sees Increase in TV Revenue Partly From Retrans Fees

Media conglomerate Journal Communications reported a 7.5 percent increase in its first quarter revenue from television stations in the period that ended March 25.

That’s a $2 million increase over last year, according to TVNewsCheck.com.
