New Orleans CBS Affiliate Looks From Within To Fill Traffic Reporter Vacancy

New Orleans native and WWL employee Sheba Turk has been selected as the CBS affiliate’s new morning traffic reporter.

According to her station bio, Turk had worked as an associate producer for the morning news since September 2011.

Montgomery Station Gives Mark Bullock Coveted Evening Anchor Spot

Miami Sportscaster Gets Bumped Up To News Anchor

After six years as WTVJ-TV’s sports anchor and reporter, Adam Kuperstein has been moved to the anchor desk at the Miami NBC affiliate.

TV News Check reports Kuperstein joined co-anchor Jackie Nespral last week to anchor the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts.

New Orleans Reporter Picked To Be Station’s New Sports Director

New Orleans CBS affiliate WWL-TV has hired from within to fill its sports director opening, tapping Northshore Bureau Chief Doug Mouton to the position.

Mouton, who’s been bureau chief since 2006, will anchor all weeknight sportscasts and supervise sports coverage, according to a news release from WWLTV.com.

TVNewser reports Butera will be the new primary anchor at WZVN in Ft. Myers.

Shreveport Anchor Gets Promoted To Mornings

Denise Middleton, an anchor with Shreveport, La., CBS affiliate KSLA, is being promoted to morning and noon anchor, her agency said this week.

TVNewser reports Middleton is represented by The NWT Group.

There’s no word yet on when the Texas native will make the shift.

From Sales to Management: Bunting Gets High-Level Station Job in Alabama

Mark Bunting, WKRG’s director of revenue, has been named vice president and general manager of the Mobile, Ala., CBS affiliate.

Local television news blog TVSpy reports the station’s parent company, Media General, announced the position change today.

Report: Two Florida TV Stations to Get New NDs

Indiana-based firm Rick Gevers & Associates reports in its weekly newsletter that Stephen Chavarie will replace Sean McNamara as news director forĀ Central Florida News 13 in Orlando. McNamara had been the ND at the cable news channel for the last four years.

Farther north in Jacksonville, WJXT-TV is gaining a news director as well. Kathryn Bonfield, currently assistant news director of content for WFLA-TV in Tampa, will replace Maureen Ruddy-Baker.
