Chad Matthews has been picked as the new assistant news director for WTVJ, the NBC O&O in Miami, Fla.
TVNewsCheck reports Matthews previously served as the senior executive producer for ABC-owned WABC in New York for the last 12 years.
A spokesperson for NBC Miami said Matthews “will work with us to continue improving our content and ratings performance and will play a key role in our all-new investigative unit.”
Matthews starts June 25.
