Report Claims Former Ft. Myers Anchor Will Return to Florida

Former Ft. Myers anchorwoman Krista Fogelsong may be returning to the city soon, according to rumblings from unidentified sources at WBBH, the NBC affiliate in Ft. Myers.

The News-Press reports Fogelsong will leave WBND in South Bend, Ind., sometime within the next three weeks (after May ratings).

Fogelsong had previously worked at FOX affiliate WFTX.

The sources say Fogelsong is tentatively taking over anchoring on the noon and 4 p.m. newscasts. However, there is talk that she may end up on a morning or evening shift.

Fogelsong’s agent, Mort Meisner, would not confirm the move in the article, but did say any announcement would need to come from WBBH.

The anchorwoman spent five years anchoring at WTFX before leaving in late 2007.
