Bob Williams, noon anchor and promotions manager with WCJB-TV, has resigned effective March 30.

The 56-year-old Williams told the Gainesville Sun his decision was not because of any problems at the station, but rather family issues that prompted the choice.

From the article:

“It was a hard decision to make, but I felt it was the appropriate thing to do under the circumstances for my family,” Williams said. “I do have some things I have to take care of.”

Williams had been with the station since 1984.

He told the Gainesville Sun he did not know if he wanted to return to the broadcast news industry.
