Bill Cummings, former news director for WTXL-TV in Tallahassee, Fla., will be leaving one coast for another, sort of.

Industry firm Rick Gevers reports Cummings will become the news director for KSWT-TV, a CBS affiliate in Yuma, Ariz. (please, no Western jokes).

Cummings had been with the Florida ABC affiliate for three years.

From the article:

Bill tells me he’s wanted to move west for family reasons: his brother and in-laws live in Tucson, his oldest son is in California and another brother lives in Reno.

Seems the move makes sense for the man who’s worked in five different states since beginning his career.
