Fortner’s Twitter account confirms she started at the Arkansas CBS affiliate May 17.

But it’s unclear whether or not Michael Fabac, who had also been ND at Little Rock’s KLRT, left voluntarily.
Two lawsuits filed against the station — one from a former weekend morning meteorologist — have sent shockwaves through the building.
West Palm Beach Station Hires New Weekend Meteorologist
In Florida, Ft. Myers-Naples, Hirings, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Weather, West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce on May 19, 2012 at 9:59 amBay Scroggins, a former meteorologist at WeatherNation TV in Minneapolis, has started work at West Palm Beach, Fla., NBC affiliate WPTV.
According to his station bio, Scroggins started at the station last month. He will serve as the weekend morning meteorologist.

Former Meridian Met Heads To Oregon For New Job
In ABC, Hirings, Meridian, Mississippi, Weather on May 15, 2012 at 1:46 pmMegan Parry, who’s worked as the weekend weather girl at WTOK-TV in Meridian, Miss., started a new job this month, trading the South for the West Coast.
Parry is now the new morning meteorologist at KDRV-TV in Medford, Ore, according to the station’s Facebook fan page.

Huckabee will be the morning meteorologist for KHBS/KHOG-TV, the Fort Smith-Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers market ABC affiliate.
Legendary Weatherman Celebrates 30 Years in Southwest Florida
In CBS, Florida, Ft. Myers-Naples, Weather on May 8, 2012 at 11:03 amMeteorologist Jim Farrell has recently hit a bit of a milestone for those who work in television news: he’s been working in local TV for 30 years.
News-Press.com reports Farrell was originally hired at WBBH-TV in 1982 and moved to WINK-TV a decade later. He’s been there ever since and has held the position of chief meteorologist for at least the last decade.
Mississippi Morning Met Headed For Huntsville
In Alabama, CBS, Columbus-Tupelo-West Point-Houston, Hirings, Huntsville-Decatur, Mississippi, NBC, Weather on May 8, 2012 at 9:34 amAfter three years at WTVA-TV in the Tupelo-Columbus-West Point-Houston market, morning meteorologist Jennifer Watson will soon begin work as a meteorologist at WHNT-TV in Huntsville, Ala., according to an insider at the CBS affiliate.
Watson first began working at the Tupelo NBC affiliate in 2009 as a weekend meteorologist. The farewell article on WTVA’s website states she got bumped up to mornings a year later. But who will fill her shoes?
